MacDraw II: Raster Ops Color Cards

Raster Ops manufactures a number of video boards that operate in 8 bit and or 24/32 bit modes.

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
The boards that can operate in an 8 bit mode will generally work with MacDraw II. To do this, you might need to remove the 32 Bit QuickDraw document from the system folder. However, if the video card only operates in a 24/32 bit mode, it will not work with MacDraw II.

RasterOps Model 108 Color Card will work with MacDraw II. You will need to remove the 32 bit QuickDraw document from the system folder, then set the monitor to 256 colors (8 bit mode).

Model 264, 24 bit Color Card has not been tested. It is believed that if you set the card to 256 colors there will be no problems using it with MacDraw II.

Model 232 & 364 Color Cards will not work with MacDraw II. They only operate in the 32 bit mode.

MacDraw Pro will work correctly with all models.
