MacDraw II: Text Does Not Align With Graphics

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
There is a problem with all versions of MacDraw II, except 1.0v4, regarding alignment of objects with multi-line text blocks. Specifically, if a text block has many lines of text, and you align objects to the lines of text, they will not be aligned when printed. They will look aligned on the screen, even when magnified. However, they may be misaligned when printed

The problem can be duplicated as follows:

1. Create a text block with many lines of text
2. Add graphic objects, such as boxes, lines, arrows or bullets to some of the lines of text.
3. Print to a Postscript LaserWriter.

You'll notice that the text and graphic objects are not aligned on the printout. It will look as though the text has crept down slightly.
The only current workaround is to break up the text block into smaller text blocks, or print using 1.0v4.
