Claris CAD: Entries Show As Multiples Of Twelve

When I type in a number in the following locations:

Object ID field
Percent Modifier field
Linear Duplicate
Polar Duplicate

my number is multiplied by 12.

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.

This is fixed in Claris CAD 2.0v2.

This is a known issue with Claris CAD 2.0v1. There are three workarounds. It occurs when you have the following types of rulers set:

Inch = Foot
Centimeter = Foot
Millimeter = Foot

and you have set Location Entry: Feet 2.5 = 2' 6" in Preferences.

1. You could leave all settings as is and then divide by 1. An example: If you wanted the Object ID to be 12 you would type:

12/1 in the Object ID field.

You would type in the number, divided by one in any box that you are having problems with.

2. You could use the Location Entry feature that says Location Entry: Inch 2.5 = 2 1/2 instead of Location Entry:Feet 2.5 = 2' 6"

3. You could use another ruler setting that doesn't use a scale which uses feet.
