Claris CAD: Use of Location Bar Can Cause Crashes

In Claris CAD 2.0v1, if an object is drawn through the Location bar (the bar of "x", "Y", "H", "V","L","A" parameters, etc. at the bottom of the screen), sometimes guidelines are left behind and the system crashes, lock up, bombs or gives and unexpectedly quit message.

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.

This is especially common on Macintosh IIfx, si and certain other 68030 Macintosh computers. However, this will still occur with other model computers, just not as readily. Any users with the 68030 computers that use the location bar should use a newer version of Claris CAD.

The easiest way to reproduce this problem is to:
-Select the Rectangle tool.
-Click and drag in the document.
-While dragging, type H and release the mouse.
-Type a value, tab to V and type another value.
- Click in the document to enter the typed values.

Guidelines will be locked in the document and almost any subsequent action will cause the system to bomb.

Note: This has been fixed in 2.0v2.
