CorelDraw (an MS-DOS drawing program) can save files as PICT files. However, if you transfer the PICT file to a Macintosh, MacDraw can't open the file.
This is because the PICT file does not have a file type. PC files do not have file types/creators and are unable to assign these attributes to a file. After the file is transferred to a Macintosh, you must use a program that can edit the file type. (These include ResEdit, DiskTop, and MacTools). The file type should be changed to PICT (all caps). The file will then be openable by MacDraw by using the Open command in the file menu.
