MacDraw, MacDraw II: No Out Of Paper Message From DeskWriter

In MacDraw II and MacDraw Pro, when there is no paper in the paper tray of a DeskWriter, you do not get a "no paper in tray" message. It seems to be the driver that does not send the message.
