You cannot edit items in MacDraw Pro's Style bar as you could in MacDraw II's Pattern Bar. This is because items in the Style Bar can contain combinations of patterns, colors and gradients.
To edit an item in the Style bar that has both a color and a pattern would require MacDraw Pro to be able to open both the pattern and color editor windows simultaneously.
To edit these items, you must edit them in the appropriate palettes for patterns, colors, or gradients , then place these items back into the Style bar.
TIP: If the item in the Style Bar does not exist in the palette, you can drag it from the Styles Bar into the palette with your mouse. Edit the pattern, color or gradient as desired in the appropriate palette, then drag it back into the Style Bar.
Here is how to edit a color/pattern combination:
1) Drag a color from the color pallette onto the Style Bar.
2) Select a pattern or drag a new pattern onto the Style Bar and select it.
3) Select the color. The patterned color should now show up in the fill indicator. Make sure you have no objects selected.
4) Drag the fill indicator onto the Style Bar.
5) You can get rid of the original pattern and color if you want at this time.
