Gradients in EPSF images may appear lower quality on screen than the original gradient object. This includes EPSF images created in MacDraw Pro and viewed in other applications. Likewise, a gradient created in another application, such as Freehand, then imported into MacDraw Pro as an EPSF, may also look poor on the screen.
When viewing an EPSF image on the screen, you are viewing the PICT preview portion of the image. You are not viewing the Postscript definition of the objects. Thus, what you see on the screen is only an approximation of what will print.
The gradients in the EPSF will print correctly, even though they look poor on the screen. In fact, the print quality of a gradient in an EPSF image is slightly superior to a gradient in a native MacDraw Pro object.
