MacDraw Pro: EPSF Image Via Clipboard Doesn‘t Print High Quality

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
If an EPSF object is copied from MacDraw Pro, then pasted into another application, only the PICT preview portion of the EPSF is pasted. The Postscript portion is stripped out. The resulting image that is pasted is not an EPSF object, but a PICT with a single object, a 72dpi bitmap. Thus, printing the object will be poorer quality than printing the EPSF object.

The Macintosh clipboard does not support the EPSF format. To move EPSF from one program to another, the EPSF must be exported to disk, then imported / placed into the other program.
