When scaling text with the Scale Selection command, text is scaled to the nearest 1/4 point. Thus the size of the text may not scale in the exact percentage entered into the Scale Selection command. This may cause slight alignment problems if text and graphics are placed tightly together, then Scaled. For example, if you scale 18 point text scaled to 71% size will scale to 12.5 or 12.75 points, not 12.78 points (18 * .71).
When you select text that has been scaled and is not a whole-point size, the font size will not be checked in the Size menu. The Size menu can display only whole-point sizes.
