Users have reported intermittent difficulties with SuperMac monitor cards and Claris CAD 2.0. We have been able to pinpoint it to 2 sources:
- On Macintosh IIfx, IIci and certain other Macintosh systems, intermittent difficulties were solved by updating to Claris CAD 2.0v2 or newer.
- Users with SuperMac Series II cards: Some users had cards that are not placed into their slots entirely correctly. The best way to correct this is to call SuperMac for a service call to reseat the card. However, if you want to take a chance, here is the process to reseat the card yourself:
1. Turn off the computer
2. Move the card from its current slot into another empty slot. Place it in the slot carefully, making sure it sits well in the slot.
3. Restart the computer with the space bar held down.
The computer will search for the card in the new slot and re-initialize it.
