MacDraw Pro: Adjusting Print Halftone Screen Frequencies And Angles

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
MacDraw Pro always prints using the default halftone settings of the printer. You cannot adjust the halftone screen frequencies and angles for printing within MacDraw Pro. In contrast, MacDraw II prints using a 60 line screen to all Postscript printers, unless adjusted using the MacDraw II Configure utility.

The halftone settings can be adjusted in the EPSF translator for export.

1. Select the Preferences command.
2. Click the Translator button.
3. Select EPSF export in the pop-up menu, click Set, then click the B&W or Color radio buttons.

Entry boxes will appear to enter new settings for the line screen frequency and angles for the four print colors (a single set appears for B&W). When you save your image to an EPSF file, the file will be saved using the new settings. Open and print the EPSF file to use the new line screen frequency and angle settings.
