MacDraw Pro: Right-Justified, Bold Text Truncated In Clipboard

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
When copying right-justified text to the clipboard the text might be truncated on the right.

The following steps recreate the problem:
1. Create a single line text block that is right-justified and bold text.
2. Turn off Fractional Character Widths (FCW) and copy the text to the clipboard.
3. Select Show Clipboard.

The text may be truncated on the right in the clipboard. The text may Paste and print truncated. This only occurs with some fonts, including Helvetica.

When copying right-justified text to the clipboard for pasting into other applications, turn on FCW. This will give you the most accurate character widths without truncation on the right. To do this, the application you're pasting into must support FCW and have it turned on.
