In MacDraw Pro 1.0v1 and 1.5, with Adobe Type Reunion installed, saving as a MacDraw II file will cause a system error (bus error). To save to a MacDraw II file, deinstall Type Reunion. This has been verified with Type Reunion versions 1.0 and 1.0.1
