Claris Resolve: Creating a series of numbers

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
There are two methods to create a series of numbers in Claris Resolve:

Method 1:
Put the number 1 in cell A1. In cell A2 put the formula: =A1 + 1. Then select a column of cells starting with A2. Choose Fill Down from the Calculate menu. The formula will be copied all the way down and give you a series of consecutive numbers.

Method 2:
Select a range of cells. Do a 'Fill' command (or command-L). A consecutive series of numbers starting with '1' will be created. If you want the series to start with something other than 1, put that number in the first cell before selecting the range. If you put a number in the last cell of the range, the Fill command will give you a series of numbers that are segmented between the first and last cell.
