(MacDraw Pro 1.0) MacDraw Pro prints and works correctly with System 7 drivers, even on Macintosh that are running Sys 6.0.x.
When performing the standard installation, the Installer looks at the System to learn its version. When it sees a System 6.0.x machine with a LaserWriter 7 version, (actually it looks for any non LaserWriter 6.0.2 driver) it alerts that cannot replace it and recommends to remove the LaserWriter and LaserPrep before performing the installation. It will NOT continue the installation, and alerts you that it was not performed.
What they should do in a mixed environment network is to perform a Customized installation and select all the files in the Installer script to be installed EXCEPT the Color Support Software which installs then the LaserWriter 6.0.2 files. (Actually if they select a file within the Installer script window, it will explain "exactly" what it would do if they will select to install the Color Support Software.)
Then, they can install all MacDraw Pro files and still keep the LaserWriter and LaserPrep 7.0 untouched on those System 6.0.X machines.
