MacDraw II: Lines per Inch

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
The MacDraw II configure program allows MacDraw II users to define how many Lines Per Inch (LPI) the hi-resolution printers will address per color. The default (preset) settings are 60 LPI for all colors.

Here are some guidelines of what is the "norm" in the industry according to Publish magazine.

Newspapers (low res) usually work with 85-100 LPI
Magazines usually work with 120-150 LPI
Publish Magazines uses 133 LPI
Advertising Materials usually work with 200 LPI or more.
