MacDraw Pro 1.0 does not allow the background color of a pattern to be changed to non-white. All patterns must have a white background color.
MacDraw Pro 1.5 does allow the background color of a pattern to be edited to be non-white. To print color patterns directly to a Postscript printer, you need a Postscript Level 2 print driver (e.g., LaserWriter 8 driver) and a Level 2 printer (e.g., IIf, IIg, LaserWriter Pro). To print color patterns with an older printer driver or printer, save to an EPSF file, open or import the EPSF file, then print. If saving to an EPSF file, you must use the EPSF XTND translator included with MacDraw Pro 1.5v2.
