ClarisWorks: Unindented Paragraphs Printing Indented

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
This issue is corrected in version 1.0v3.

The first line of a paragraph will print indented when the paragraph follows a blank line. The indentation is a space or so for each blank line preceding the paragraph. This issue happens under the following conditions:

* StyleWriter, ImageWriter or Personal LaserWriter LS, regardless of driver version, using TrueType fonts
* Version 1.0v1 or 1.0v2 of ClarisWorks
* Worst with System 6.x and the TrueType Init.

Workarounds for 1.0v2 and earlier:
Type a space on each blank line. The space character can be typed manually on each blank line, or can be inserted by using the Find/Change command. To do this, find \\p\\p, replace with \\p{space}\\p. (In other words, find two returns, replace them with a return-space-return).

Another workaround is to use ATM with Postscript fonts or plain bitmaps instead of TrueType fonts.

Some customers have reported that using System 7 and turning on Fractional Character Widths has lessened the issue. However, this does not solve the issue for most people.
