Printing
Rotated text will print as a 72 dpi bitmap on QuickDraw printers such as the ImageWriter, StyleWriter and HP DeskWriter. This results in lower quality text. Color information may also be lost.
Saving as PICT
When saving a file as PICT which contains rotated objects, the rotated objects will be saved as a PICT bitmap. This results in jagged printout to all printers, including Postscript LaserWriters. Also, the rotated objects will not be editable in other object-oriented drawing programs since it becomes a bit-map.
Workaround for Printing from ClarisWorks 2.0 or higher
Rotated text retains it's resolution in a Paint document. The ClarisWorks Paint environment is capable of creating documents and frames at several resolutions, including 300 and 360 dpi. The StyleWriter is a 360 dpi printer and the DeskWriter is 300dpi.
