When you copy a range of cells in Claris Resolve, three layers of information are put on the clipboard:
"rslv" for Claris Resolve specific data
"pict" for picture-oriented data (fills and pen width, etc.)
"text" for plain-text use.
If you switch to a word processor and paste, most word processors will choose to use the "text" layer of the Claris Resolve clipboard. This lets you easily format the columns, fonts, etc. But sometimes you want the chart to show up just as it did in Claris Resolve.
The answer is to paste the items into a drawing program like MacDraw Pro. MacDraw Pro prefers to use the pict portion of the image, and discards the other two layers. After you paste, you can copy this item from the drawing program and and paste it back into your word processor.
The Copy As Picture utility added to Claris Resolve 1.1 has corrected this issue.
However, an Easy Install does not install the utility. To access it, do a Custom Install of the "Resolve Utilities Menu". Once this Custom Install has been completed, a Utilities menu will appear in Claris Resolve with "Copy as Picture" and a plethora of other options.
