Objects created using the freehand graphic tool in ClarisWorks 1.0 are automatically smoothed. There is no way to bypass the smoothing when creating the object. When Unsmooth is selected, the object will not return exactly to its original unsmoothed shape. If you need more control over a freehand object's shape, try using the Reshape command.
ClarisWorks 2.0 allows you to toggle smoothing on and off through a checkbox in the Preferences dialog box.
