MacDraw Pro: Use "Precise Placement" for Text Formatting

Does it seem full justification, kerning, or tracking isn't working? You need to change the text placement preference.

Q. I set the text in my MacDraw Pro 1.5 document to print fully justified, but the right edge of the text prints ragged. What's happening?

A. You've got MacDraw Pro set to use "standard character placement," which is faster because it skips the routines for fully justifying text, etc. Your printout will also be incorrect if you use the standard setting with kerned or tracked text. Set the preference for "precise character placement," which is slower but supports these extended formatting options. To use this option, choose Preferences from the layout menu, and then select Print options. Then check the Precise Character Placement radio button.
