MacDraw Pro: Shaded Cells Pasted from Excel Shifted

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
In MacDraw Pro 1.5 and earlier, shaded cells pasted from Microsoft Excel are shifted (using Copy Picture).

The following steps demonstrate the issue.

1- In Excel 3.0 or 4.0, fill some cells with a pattern
2- Select the cells, then Copy As Picture (hold Shift key, select Copy As Picture from Edit menu).
3- Paste into MacDraw Pro 1.5. Zoom to 400%

You'll notice that the fill patterns don't align in the cell grid properly. They appear to extend too low. The same cells pasted into ClarisWorks appear correct.

Currently, the only known workaround is to paste into another drawing program, such as ClarisWorks, then copy and paste into MacDraw Pro.
