Saving a MacProject II or Claris Resolve file to a floppy disk with the same name as any mounted hard drive, including hard drives on shared systems, saves to the hard drive instead of the disk.
To Reproduce:
1. Name a disk the same name as a hard drive on your system.
2. Run MacProject II or Claris Resolve and save a file to the disk.
3. Result: The file is not saved to disk, it is saved to the hard drive of the same name.
Claris Resolve Response:
This is a known issue which occurs due to the use of file name strings for accessing files. Given a file name like "HD:foo", it's impossible for Claris Resolve to tell whether to save the file on a hard disk named "HD", or a floppy named "HD" if both are present. This issue occurs under System 6 or 7, and is not an incompatibility with System 7.1.
MacProject Response:
This is a known issue with MacProject II 2.5v1 and earlier. It has been fixed in MacProject Pro.
