Macintosh PC Exchange

Now you can move files back and forth between your Apple Macintosh personal computer and a PC-compatible computer as easily as you can between two Macintosh computers. YouÕll find Macintosh PC Exchange an especially valuable and time-saving software utility if you work in a mixed platform environment, exchange files with clients or colleagues who use DOS or Windows, or use a DOS or Windows system at work and a Macintosh at home.

To move files from a DOS-compatible computer to your Macintosh, simply insert the disk in any Macintosh that uses System 7 or later and has an Apple SuperDrive or a compatible 3.5-inch or 5.25-inch floppy disk drive. Macintosh PC Exchange does the rest automatically. The contents of the DOS-format disk appear on your screen as standard Macintosh documents and folders. You can open, save, rename, move, copy, and delete them just as you would files stored on standard Macintosh floppy disks. Or you can import them into Macintosh-compatible applications.

Just as easily, you can move files from your Macintosh to a DOS computer. Simply insert a DOS-formatted floppy disk--or let the Macintosh format a DOS disk for you--into the Macintosh and drag the document from your Macintosh disk to the DOS floppy. Then insert the floppy disk into the DOS computer and begin working. ItÕs that simple.

No other software utility gives you such instant access to files. You can even customize Macintosh PC Exchange to automatically launch your favorite Macintosh applications when you double-click on DOS or Windows files. For example, you can set up Macintosh PC Exchange to launch Lotus 1-2-3 when you click on a file created using Lotus 1-2-3 for Windows.
