Claris Application: File is Locked or Disk is Full Error Message

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
If you use AutoDoubler by Salient Software, and install a Claris product, but do not launch that product immediately, you can receive the error "File is locked or Not Enough Room on the Disk or Disk is Full".

This is because AutoDoubler has compressed the file since it was installed. The application cannot store the personalization information that is requested the first time the application is launched if the file has been compressed. Essentially, the file is locked.

To resolve this, you should use the DDExpand utility that is included with AutoDoubler to temporarily expand the Claris application. You will be allowed to launch the application and personalize it normally. It's okay to compress it in the future.
