ClarisWorks: "This File is Corrupted" Message

When a file is corrupted, ClarisWorks gives the generic message: "This File is Corrupted." If you are getting this message repeatedly as you work in ClarisWorks, you may have a corrupt ClarisWorks Macros file in your Claris folder.

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
By saving a macro file into the Claris folder/directory in the System folder, and naming it ClarisWorks Macros, it will automatically load when you launch ClarisWorks. If this file becomes corrupted, ClarisWorks opens it but then keeps alerting you that the file is damaged.

Similar problems could occur if you create a ClarisWorks WP Options file and it becomes corrupted. In this case, you would get a file corrupted message when creating a new WP document.
