When printing the gray colors in the top row of the color palettes (both pen and fill) to a QuickDraw printer such as the ImageWriter or a Personal LaserWriter LS, the grays print as solid black or solid white.
The darker gray colors (more than 50% black) print as solid black, while the lighter grays print as solid white. They do not print as dithered patterns simulating gray colors. The only workaround is to use the gray patterns in the pattern palettes instead of the gray colors.
This problem exists in all versions of ClarisWorks 1.0 (v1 - v3).
