ClarisWorks: Blank Spreadsheet Pages Being Printed

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
ClarisWorks only prints cells which contain data by default. However, it will print pages for blank cells when you apply a format to an entire row. To duplicate this issue:

1. Select an entire row by clicking on the row header.
2. Apply a format (either a font change or a numeric format).
3. Enter some data in the first few columns.
4. Print (the default Print Range is "cells with data")

Several pages of blank spreadsheet grids will be printed out.

Formatting an entire column does not produce this problem.

If you need to apply a row format, select the cell range rather than clicking the row header. Another option is to select a cell range to print and choose Print Range from the Options menu.
