The Macintosh Plus does not have a Control Key, you can create a Macro to work around it.

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.

Question:
How can I generate control-characters in the communications environment when I dial into a host computer? I have a Macintosh Plus and it doesn't have a control key. Other communications packages let me use the option key as the control key.

Answer:
The Communications Toolbox from Apple Computer, Inc., which ClarisWorks uses to provide Communications capabilities, doesn't support mapping the option key to the control key for Macintosh Plus owners. You can however, create a macro on a computer which has a control key and execute that macro with a key sequence on your Macintosh Plus.
