White Text Prints about One-Half Character to the Right of its Apparent Position

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
White text (any size, any font) prints about one half character to the right of its expected position based on screen placement. The actual displacement is proportional to the font size, but is usually equivalent to one half character at any given font size.

This effect may be seen on any printer, while printing either black & white, color or greyscale.

Workaround: the only workaround for this problem is to intentionally displace the text object on screen until it prints in the proper location.
