ClarisWorks 1.0 Macintosh Text Translator

MacWrite Pro 1.0v4 includes a ClarisWorks 1.0 Macintosh Text Translator. This translator allows you to transfer word processing documents between MacWrite Pro and ClarisWorks 1.0 for the Macintosh.

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.

This translator enables MacWrite Pro to open and save ClarisWorks 1.0 Mac word processing files. Headers, footers, margins, columns, paragraph formatting and fonts are all retained. ClarisWorks frames are not translated, so graphic, spreadsheet and text frames will not appear in the resulting MacWrite Pro document. Likewise, MacWrite Pro frames such as text, pictures, notes and tables are not translated when saving as ClarisWorks 1.0. The one exception is anchored or in-line graphics which are translated successfully.

To use this file, place it in the Claris Translators folder which resides in the Claris folder in the System Folder.

YOU MAY ONLY USE THE TRANSLATOR WITH AUTHORIZED, LICENSED COPIES OF MACWRITE PRO UNDER THE TERMS OF THE ENCLOSED LICENSE AGREEMENT.

This translator is available from America Online, CompuServe, AppleLink, the Claris BBS.
