Character Clipped When Printing to Laserjet

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
When printing out of the database module of ClarisWorks 1.0v1 for Windows, number fields formatted as currency and aligned right may clip the last character when printing to HP Laserjet printers in native PCL mode. Clipping also depends on how many digits are in the field, with numbers longer than 5 significant figures (such as 100.23) exhibiting the symptom more often. The solution is to set the option to print TrueType as graphics.

For HP Laserjet II and III series printers:
1. Select Print Setup from the File menu.
2. Click the Options button on the right side of the Print Setup dialog box.
3. Check the "Print Truetype as Graphics" checkbox

The HP IV driver must change graphics mode from HP-GL/2 to Raster, and then the Print TrueType as Graphics option can be selected.
