Object(s) in the Layout Footer May Slide Up Into the Body Part and Print After Each Record (DB)

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
In the ClarisWorks 2.0 database environment, it is possible to insert a footer as a layout part , which allows you to have information print at the bottom of each printed page when printing from that layout. You can also remove blank space between objects when printing by choosing Layout menu, Layout Info.... and clicking the slide options.

However, if you have set your layout to slide objects, because you expect that there will be empty fields on the layout and you wish to maintain a professional appearance on your printout, you may find that fields or objects in the layout Footer will slide up into the body part and print after each record.

The workaround is to add a footer by choosing Format menu, Insert Footer... (available when in the Browse mode) to place any information that you want to print at the bottom of each page. Please note that a footer entered in this manner will appear on every layout in your database.
