Unexpected Quit With Over 64MB of RAM When Using Headers and Footers (WP)

Only occurs in ClarisWorks 2.0v1 (fixed in ClarisWorks 2.1v2)

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.

On a Macintosh with 64MB of RAM or more, ClarisWorks 2.0v1 crashes after closing a word processing document with a header or footer. The crash affects only the application and displays the error message Òapplication unknown has quit, due to an error of type 1.

To recreate...
1) Launch ClarisWorks 2.0v1 on a machine with 64MB of RAM (or greater) or set the available RAM to 64 MB using virtual memory in the Memory Control Panel.
2) Create a new word processing document.
3) Insert a header, footer, or both.
4) Close the document.
5) Select "yes" or "no" when prompted to save the document.

This has been recreated on the following Macintosh models: Quadra 800, 950, Centris 650, Macintosh IIfx, and Macintosh IIci (all running System 7.1). ClarisWorks 1.0 does not crash under these conditions.
