Installing ClarisWorks on a Server for Network Installations (All)

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
Use the following procedure to install ClarisWorks on a central server volume so that it can then be installed through the network from, and onto, any networked Macintosh computer:

1) Create a folder on the server called ClarisWorks Install Files.
2) Drag copy each of the three disks of the software into this new folder. This will create three folders named Disk 1, 2 and 3.
3) Now open the folder called Disk 1 and option-drag the two files: Installer and Installer Script "up" one layer, i.e. out of that Disk 1 folder but still in the ClarisWorks Install Files folder. This will make a copy of the files so that they exist in the Disk 1 folder as well as the ClarisWorks Install Files folder.

To install from a networked Macintosh computer:
1) Find and open the ClarisWorks Install Files folder
2) Double-click the Installer Script file. This will "unstuff" and install the ClarisWorks files onto the local computer's hard disk.
