The Alignment controls in Claris products always give you four vertical options and four horizontal options for aligning selected objects:
Top to bottom:
Align Top Edges - Aligns the top edges of all of the selected objects with the object that is highest on the page.
Align Bottom Edges - Aligns the bottom edges of all of the selected objects with the object that is lowest on the page.
Align Centers calculates the vertical distance from the top of the topmost object to the bottom of the bottom object and aligns the centers of all of the selected objects at the midpoint of that distance.
Distribute Space calculates the vertical distance from the top of the topmost object to the bottom of the bottom object and evenly distributes he selected objects along that vertical distance.
Left to right:
Align Left Edges aligns the left edges of all of the selected objects with the object that is furthest left on the page.
Align Right Edges aligns the right edges of all of the selected objects with the object that is furthest right on the page.
Align Centers calculates the horizontal distance from the left of the leftmost object to the right of the rightmost object and aligns the centers of all of the selected objects at the midpoint of that distance.
Distribute Space calculates the horizontal distance from the left of the object furthest left to the right of the object furthest right and evenly distributes the selected objects along that horizontal distance.
