Both the ClarisWorks Word Processing Environment and the ClarisImpact Report Environment allow you to paste graphics in-line (so the graphic flows with the text). However, the procedure is slightly different in each application.
In ClarisWorks 2.0:
Make sure the Text Tool is selected in the Tool Bar by choosing Show Tools from the View menu. Now you can use Copy and Paste or Insert to place the inline graphic.
To paste a graphic on the Drawing Layer (so that it does not flow with the text, but does allow you use the Text Wrap feature), click on the Arrow tool in the toolbar before Copying and Pasting or Inserting a graphic.
ClarisImpact:
To add an inline graphic, hold down the Option key while selecting Paste under the Edit menu, or use the keyboard equivalent Option-Command-V. This is described in the User's Guide on page 13-69.
If you do not hold down the Option key while Pasting, ClarisImpact will automatically paste the graphic on the Drawing layer so that you can use the Text Wrap feature.
Using Place File to insert a graphic in ClarisImpact is a two-step process, because Place File... always inserts graphics on the Drawing layer. Use Place File... to insert the graphic, select it with the arrow tool, Cut and then Option-Paste at the desired location.
