Calendar Styles Cut Off Text In Calendar Day

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
Adding an Event or typing text directly into a calendar day will clip the text if the style for that calendar has a thick line or other graphics at the top of the day. The field where the text will show up is at the top of the day style.

The text will be in front of the graphic, but if the contrast between the color or pattern of the graphic and the text is not sufficient, the text will appear to be clipped at the graphic.

If you follow the instructions in the ClarisImpact Getting Started booklet for creating a calendar and applying the International style, your text will appear clipped for this reason.

Two work arounds are:

1. change the color of the text so that it contrasts;
2. change the Element Style for that day.
