Two ways to Save a Model: as a Style or a Library Item

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
You can store commonly used Models as a Style or as objects in a Library.

To save a Model in a Library:
1. Create a Model.
2. Select the Model with the arrow tool so that there are selection handles on each corner but no gray border.
3. Choose New Library from the File menu.
4. Click the Add button.
5. Save the Library.

To save a Model as a new Model Style:
1. Follow steps 1 through 2 above.
2. Choose Model Styles... from the 2cnd to last menu. This menu will be different depending on the Model you create.
3. Click the Add button.
4. Name the Style.
5. Click the Done button.

Styles you create will show in the pre-creation dialog box when creating a Model. Choose Open Library from the File menu to access a Library you have saved.

Remember that you can save multiple Models of different types in one Library. You can also save a number of Models as a single object (make sure to group the Models before adding them to a Library if you want them treated as one object).
