Place File... and Publish & Subscribe Do Not Create New Cells or Tasks

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
When you Place a Text file or a SYLK file or into a Table or Timeline, you might want ClarisImpact to automatically create the correct number of cells or tasks for you.

This is not a feature of ClarisImpact. You must set the correct number of cells in the Table or Timeline before using Place File... to import the data. If your Table does not have enough cells, excess data will be lost.

Solution:
Make sure you resize your Timeline or Table appropriately before Placing or Subscribing.

NOTES:
1. Copying and Pasting data will force ClarisImpact to create more cells or tasks.
2. Publish and Subscribe will also not create new Cells or Tasks in a Timeline or Table.
