All the Library art provided in the Claris Art folder has been designed for easy modification. Most objects have several levels of grouping so that you can modify some parts and not others. For example, all of the signs in the Road Signs Library will ungroup so that you can change the name on the sign.
To ungroup an object:
1. Select an object with the arrow tool so that the square selection handles show on each corner of the object.
2. Choose Ungroup from the Arrange menu.
Each object that has selection handles on it can now be individually modified. After you have modified one of the pieces you can regroup the object.
It is also possible that the graphic has several layers of grouping. For example, try ungrouping one of the World Maps, specifically the map of Africa. The first ungroup will separate the map of Africa into 5 layers:
Top Layer = Country Names
Second Layer = Outlines of Countries
Third Layer = Outline of Continent
Fourth Layer = Black filled Outline of Continent
Bottom Layer = Drop Shadow of Continent
If you next select the Second Layer and ungroup it you can remove just one or several countries from Africa and work with them individually.
