Master Slide Backgrounds do not Save to PICT or EPSF

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
Issue:
Exporting a slide from the Presentation environment does not export some graphics or text.

Explanation:
Graphics or text created within the Master Slide will not export when trying to Save a slide to another graphic format such as PICT or EPSF. Anything added to the Master Slide is subject to not being exported. This could be a background from a Model Style or any type of graphic or text created while in the Master Slide.

Solution:
1. The best solution is to copy all the elements you added to the Master Slide and paste them onto every slide. If you have many slides then try solution 2.
2. Exporting your slides to MacDraw Pro or MacDraw II format will correctly save out any graphics added to the Master Slide. If you have MacDraw Pro or MacDraw II you could then open the file and save it to PICT. The best method, though, would be to open the file in MacDraw Pro so you could save to EPSF. In general, EPSF will capture the quality of the Slides better.
