Resizing the Rightmost Column in a ClarisImpact Model or ClarisWorks Frame

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
Resizing a column of a Table in ClarisImpact or a Spreadsheet frame in ClarisWorks is easy with the exception of the rightmost column.

Normally you would move the mouse pointer to the divider between the column header (ClarisWorks) or the divider between the columns of the first row (ClarisImpact) and wait for the mouse pointer to change to the shape (arrows pointing both directions) that indicates that you can adjust the column width by clicking and dragging. Unfortunately, there is no dividing line on the last column because there is no column to the right.

Follow the instructions below to resize the rightmost column:

ClarisImpact:
1. Click on any cell within the column that you wish to resize.
2. Choose Column Width from the Table menu and change the resulting dialog box.

ClarisWorks:
1. Click on any cell within the column that you wish to resize.
2. Choose Column Width from the Format menu and change the resulting dialog box.

The numbers in the Column Width dialog show the size in Points. There are 72 points in an inch. So, to make the column one-half inch wide, set the Column Width to be 36 points wide.
