I created two objects and connected them with the Connector Tool but I cannot move the connector so that the objects connected move together. The computer just beeps at me.

It is not possible to move a connector once it is attached to two objects. Connectors will remain in position between both connected objects, but cannot be used to move the objects around. If you move an object, the connector will extend itself to remain connected to the object in its new location.
Solution:
It would be better to group the two objects if you want them to move together. If you group both objects and drag them to another location, the connector will move with them.
