When Installing a version of ClarisWorks over a previously installed version, the dictionary will normally be replaced automatically. However, if you are currently using the British English Dictionary and want to install from disks that contain the US English Dictionary, the dictionary will not be replaced by the installer.
To correct this problem, you can remove the Main Dictionary from the Macintosh (you may wish to make a backup copy of it in case you decide you'd like to use it later). The Main Dictionary is located inside the System Folder , within the folder named Claris.
Once the previous Main Dictionary has been removed, you may proceed with installing ClarisWorks from the installer disks Since the installer will not see the previous dictionary, it will install the new dictionary.
