Display driver software is updated just like a commercial software package such as FileMaker Pro or Microsoft Word. You can find the file name of your video driver by viewing the System.INI file, located in the Windows Directory. Scan the [Boot] section for the line, "System.DRV =<driver.drv>". The file name of your video driver will be to the right of the "=" sign.
You can then use the Windows File Manager to locate that file in your Windows\\System directory. To obtain the date of the driver, click on the file one time, then choose Properties from the File menu. In addition to the date of the file, your video driver vendor may also include the version information.
