If you use Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical with a vertical line which has an arrow point, the arrow point will not always work properly.
To see this happen, try these steps:
1) Create a line with an arrow at the start. Hold down the Shift key while you are dragging the line so that the line runs vertically. When creating the line, drag from bottom to top.
2) Use either the Flip Vertical or Flip Horizontal command from the Arrange Menu to flip the line. If you used Flip Vertical, then the arrow will now point straight up. If you used Flip Horizontal, then the arrow will remain pointing straight down.
3) Select the line and drag the bottom selection handle to make it shorter (dragging up).
4) The arrow head will move to the other end of the line.
Note: you can avoid this problem if you use the Rotate 90 degrees or Free Rotate commands.
This problem is fixed in ClarisImpact 1.0v3, but not in the latest version of ClarisWorks (2.1v4). To obtain the latest version of ClarisImpact or ClarisWorks, contact Claris Customer Assistance at (408) 727-8227.
