Installing PowerTalk on the Power Macintosh with An Upgrade Card (All)

This information was provided by Claris Corporation on 16 March 1998, and incorporated into Apple Computer's Tech Info Library.
Version 2.1 of the ClarisWorks program supports sending mail using PowerTalk from Apple Computer (part of System 7 Pro).

If you are having difficulty sending mail in ClarisWorks, you may wish to try sending mail via AppleMail. If that fails also, it's possible that your PowerTalk may need to be reinstalled.

PLEASE NOTE:
It has been reported that a problem was discovered with the installer script on the PowerTalk For Power Macintosh (1.0.3) Install Me First disk, where it would not install properly on systems with Power Macintosh Upgrade Cards. This problem does not exist on the PowerTalk For Power Macintosh (1.0.2) Install Me First disk. Except for the installer script, the software contained within the 1.0.2 & 1.0.3 Install Me First disks is identical. Apple is recommending that customers use the 1.0.2 PowerTalk Install Me First disk when installing PowerTalk on Power Macintosh and Power Macintosh Upgrade Card systems.

Please contact Apple Computer or your Apple Dealer if you feel you need new PowerTalk disks.
